Here is a list of the most standard sized envelopes used in Australia and their postage costs within Australia. We are able to print on any of these sizes.
Postage cost is based on the envelope being no more than 5mm thick and 50g in weight. (Correct as of December 2010) Commonly Used Envelope Terms: Banker Envelope: Envelope that closes with a triangular-shaped flap on the long side. Wallet Envelope: Envelope that closes with a rectangular-shaped flap on the long side. Pocket Envelope: Envelope that closes on the short side. Press Seal / Self Seal: No moisture is required to seal the envelope. When the flap is closed, the adhesive on the flap is activated. Peel & Seal / Strip Seal: A strip must be removed from the envelope's flap to expose the adhesive which will seal it. Lick & Stick / Moist Seal: Moisture must be applied to the envelope to activate the adhesive. Only lick & stick envelopes can be used with commercial machinery used to fill and seal envelopes. Plain Envelope: Envelope with no Window. Window (Faced) Envelope: Envelope with a window cut out of the front to display an address printed on an inserted item. |
